Apple is one of if not the most popular phone brand, known for creating the iphone, which is still the most popular phone today. Apple was orginally a computer manufacturer known for the apple II (1977) under steve jobs apple pivoted to consumer electronics launching iTunes and the iPod which began there explostion in popularity.

Nokia was more popular in the early 2000s when they were the leading mobile phone manufacturer, during 1998 and 2008 30-38% of phones was from nokia. Nokia now focuses on back to back technology and network infastructue.

Samsung is a major South Korean multinational conglomerate, that was originally established as a trade company in 1938. Today, it is best known globally as a leading technology giant specializing in electronics, semiconductors, home appliances, and smartphones (Galaxy series). Samsung Electronics is the flagship subsidiary and a top worldwide smartphone producer.

Xiaomi is a major chinese technology company also known as the "apple of china", they specialize in high-spec affordable smart phones, IoT devices and electronic vehicles. Xiaomis buisness model is focusing on "quality technolongy at honset prices" operating with thin profit margins and building a loyal community of "Mi fans".
